Institué le 30 janvier 1944, le Bandenkampfabzeichen était décerné aux membres de la Wehrmacht, de la Waffen-SS et des formations de police ayant participé à des opérations prolongées contre les mouvements partisans. En raison des critères d'attribution extrêmement exigeants et du faible nombre de récipiendaires, cette décoration est aujourd'hui considérée comme l'une des plus difficiles à obtenir parmi les badges de combat allemands.

Authentic Bronze Bandenkampfabzeichen (Anti-Partisan Badge) in the highly desirable Early Juncker Pattern, one of the rarest and most sought-after variants of this prestigious German WWII combat award.
Instituted on January 30, 1944, the Bandenkampfabzeichen was awarded to members of the Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS, and police formations who participated in extended anti-partisan operations. Due to its demanding award criteria and limited number of recipients, it is widely regarded as one of the most difficult German combat badges to acquire.
This example exhibits the sought-after characteristics of the Early Juncker Pattern, known for its superior manufacturing quality, strong relief, and exceptionally sharp details. The reverse bears the five-digit number #92264, adding further collector interest to an already outstanding piece.
