Bouton militaire américain original datant d'environ 1812 à 1820, attribué à une unité de Light Artillery du 1st Regiment durant ou peu après la Guerre de 1812.

Bien que l'avers présente aujourd'hui une corrosion importante et une usure prononcée, le bouton conserve sa forme originale ainsi que son anneau d'attache d'époque au revers. Son mode de fabrication et son identification correspondent aux boutons militaires américains utilisés au début du XIXe siècle.

Original American military button dating circa 1812–1820, attributed to a 1st Regiment Light Artillery unit during or shortly after the War of 1812.

Although the front shows significant wear and corrosion, the button retains its original shape and period attachment shank on the reverse. Its construction style and identification are consistent with American military buttons used in the early 19th century.
