Bouton militaire américain original datant d'environ 1830 à 1845, attribué aux célèbres National Lancers de Boston, une prestigieuse unité de cavalerie volontaire du Massachusetts.

Fabriqué en laiton doré, il présente le monogramme caractéristique de l'unité sur l'avers. Le revers conserve son anneau d'origine ainsi qu'un marquage de fabricant « EXTRA RICH », typique des boutons militaires américains haut de gamme du XIXe siècle.

Des traces de dorure d'origine sont encore visibles, tandis que le fond strié horizontal témoigne de la qualité de fabrication de l'époque. Une belle pièce de collection provenant de l'une des unités de milice les plus connues de la Nouvelle-Angleterre avant la Guerre de Sécession.

Original American military button dating circa 1830–1845, attributed to the renowned Boston National Lancers, a prestigious volunteer cavalry unit from Massachusetts.

Manufactured in gilt brass, the button features the distinctive unit monogram on the obverse. The reverse retains its original shank along with the maker's mark "EXTRA RICH", a designation commonly found on high-quality American military buttons of the 19th century.

Traces of the original gilt finish remain visible, while the finely lined background reflects the craftsmanship of the period. An excellent collectible from one of New England's most famous pre-Civil War militia units.
